It was a busy morning at Belmont Park! Belmont Stakes contenders put in their final workouts on a beautiful, though warm, morning. Heading the group was Kentucky Derby winner Orb, whose work convinced trainer Shug McGaughey to move a step closer to running in the Belmont Stakes. Todd Pletcher is expecting to be busy on June 8. He is looking to saddle as many as five. Likely starters Overanalyze, Palace Malice, and Revolutionary worked first. Later in the morning came Unlimited Budget and Midnight Taboo. The filly is 80-90% likely to run while her stablemate is closer to 50-50. Peter Pan winner Freedom Child didn’t breeze, but was out for a gallop. Over on the training track, meanwhile, was Incognito, who breezed beneath jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr.
